We could not have reached this milestone without all of your support. All of the proceeds will be going to Feed Ontario to help end hunger and poverty in our local communities. Our team is thankful to the Rotary District 7070 for hosting such an amazing initiative and executing it so beautifully despite the unfortunate circumstances. We are very happy with the results and look forward to working on more great projects this year!

WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY 2020

On July 17, 2020, our club joined the RESILIENCE World Youth Skills Day celebration! We were able to connect with 15 Rotaract clubs from 14 countries across 6 continents. Some of the participating countries included Brazil, Australia, Portugal, Mauritius, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Philippines, and more. There was a total of ~90 attendees.

This event gave us the opportunity to increase our fellowship with Rotaractors and Rotarians from around the world. We connected with the other attendees by joining smaller breakout groups and shared ongoing activities taking place within our individual clubs. As a result, our club was able to identify areas of improvement and discuss ways to actively develop the Rotaract Club of Toronto-Danforth.

A huge thank you to @rcislamabad.ctg for organizing such an amazing intitative. Also, we would like to give a special thanks to William Wolfe and District Governor, Ruhela Chowdhury for taking the time to speak at this event.

We look forward to being apart of more events like this and connecting with more Rotaractors among our global community.

FORT YORK FOOD BANK

Per Hungercount 2018 report, Canadians visited food bank 1.1 million times. Moreover, 35% of those relying on food banks nationally are children, when they only represent 20% of the population. We all have a role to play to combat this crisis. On the first Saturday of every month, Toronto Danforth Rotaracts have a great time preparing and serving nutritious, hot meal for those in need at Fort York Food Bank. If you are interested to volunteer please join us on Saturday, October 5th. For more information feel free to message us!

Our club has served about 1500 people in need in the last 9months at FYFB. This recognition certificate is truly meaningful to us.
